Twelve Star Publishing (TSP) was established in 1994 by Nancy
McCarthy to publish Searching for Light: Michael's Information
for a Time of Change. The author, publisher, and graphic artist
of Searching for Light met on an electronic bulletin board.
The company was established, and the book was designed, typeset,
and released in five short months, and the principals had never
even met in person.
Drawing upon ten years of traditional small business experience
with the vision of a NEW business paradigm, TSP was created as
a model for business in the future. Our projects are cooperative
efforts in which responsibilities and risks are shared, as well
as the joy of accomplishment and profits from the finished work.
Everyone involved in the production of a work is a partner, and
contributes whatever skills, interests and abilities they have
to offer. Authors play an important role in designing and promoting
their books. This is a people-first company.
Our mission is the distribution of information which promotes
holistic lifestyles and metaphysical thinking among open-minded
individuals. Twelve Star Publishing is working to bridge the gap
between mainstream and metaphysics.
Searching for Light
has been reviewed extremely well, and is in its second printing.
A Finnish edition was released in 1999. Enlightened
Parenting: Becoming an Enlightened Parent by Anne Irwin
is the second title created by TSP. A GBC bound version is currently
available in English. A German edition was released in 1999. Additional
projects are underway, and TSP welcomes inquires from individuals
who are interested in becoming equity partners.
From October 96 through July 98 TSP published earthlight!
a bi-monthly magazine serving communities in central Maryland,
and nearby PA, VA, DC, and WV. Nearly 100 articles are available
online. Each issue featured thought-provoking articles by local
and national authors, calendar of events, and display advertising
for businesses that promote wellness and a high quality of life.
