Power is not an outward thing, not a means of force or
coercion. Power is an internal peace and oneness, being centered
and in the moment, being steadfastly who you are. Power is about
having the strength to be soft. True power is doing exactly what
is needed to get the job done and no more. Power is not for show.
Power is economy of motion. You needn't feel weak because you
speak softly and carry no stick at all, as long as you are being
true to Spirit. Life can be a sweet and gentle thing.
Do stand up for yourself when others try to keep you from your
path. A firm but gentle "no" requires no explanation
or apology. You are always at choice. It is your life, your reality,
it is as you choose it. You never have to put up with those who
would choose it for you. Thank them for their concern and go your
own way. Confrontation takes two, and evaporates when you refuse
to fight. Power is a gentle art.
